The Ljubljana Fellowship in 2024 will be organized as part of the Our Little Library: Literary Exchanges cooperation project, co-funded by the EACEA. KUD Sodobnost International will host six project partners from Italy, Croatia, Estonia, Poland, Greece and North Macedonia, along with several publishers from across Europe. Additionally, eight fellows will be invited, with full or partial support available. Among these eight fellows one will be invited from an Asian country.
This year’s fellowship will focus exclusively on children’s literature and will be open only to publishers. The fellowship aims to create new connections among EU publishers interested in translating books from smaller languages. The program will run from November 12 to 14, 2024, with fellows expected to attend all three days, arriving on the 11th and leaving on the 14th or 15th, depending on flight connections. Fellows will be selected on the basis of their alignment with the fellowship’s goals and their proven track record. Applications for the fellowship are open until June 30.
